The purpose of the Bethabara Faith Ministry is simple: to make Christian literature, materials and Bibles available to pastors and lay workers who do not have access to Christian resources.

India is a primary target for our ministry. The number of career missionaries is small for such a huge country. India will only be evangelized by using indigenous pastors, their families and helpers.

OUR HISTORY:
Bethabara Faith Ministry, Inc. began in the hearts of Beth and Horace Taylor during the summer of 1999. The Taylors had recently retired and desired to use their time and talents in the Lord’s Kingdom according to His leading.

Beth attended a senior’s conference at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. She learned of a ministry to send outdated Sunday School literature and Bibles to pastors in countries with limited Christian resources. The Taylors began collecting the outdated materials from their church and sent them to India.

The pastors who received the materials were very responsive and eager for more of the Christian literature and Bibles. The list of requests grew with time. Some of the literature was sent to the same individuals and some to new addresses. Audio tapes of sermon messages and Bible lessons were included, along with pens and tablet paper for translating the literature if the pastor wished.

Our prayer is that all of the Christian resources will be used to spread the Gospel message. Every package contains a letter asking recipients to give the materials to someone who can use them if they cannot.

Bethabara Faith Ministry, Inc. was incorporated under 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code in May of 2006.

Although India has received most of the Christian literature and Bibles, the ministry will send packages wherever the Lord leads. Christians in other countries are not as blessed as we are in this United States to have access to Christian resources and Bibles. So many times the pastors and others who are preaching God’s Word in other countries have no help and assistance in their own spiritual growth and understanding. The desire of Bethabara Faith Ministry, Inc. is to assist those ministers in their labors for the Lord.
